The first edition of "SpectActor Meetings" 2024 has as guest the novelist Radu Aldulescu, one of the most important Romanian writers who appeared in Romanian literature after 1990. He will speak on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 17:oo, the conference "Vertigo, memory gaps. There is my country", in the foyer of the Craiova National.

Author of 11 novels, Radu Aldulescu was translated in France and Hungary, where he had an enthusiastic critical reception: "With his epic and outstanding stylistic virtuosity, Radu Aldulescu was immediately compared to Louis-Ferdinand Céline; but, like his hero, he is also a new Panait Istrati, even a Jack Kerouac of the Ceauşescu era." Prose writer, film and theater screenwriter, Radu Aldulescu (b. June 29, 1954) is the author of the novels Sonata for the accordion (1993), Amantul Colivăresei (1995), The Mounted Angel (1996), The History of the Heroes of a Land of greenery and coolness (1997), The Prophets of Jerusalem (2004), The Brides of Immortality (2006), Ana Maria and the Angels (2010), The Genocide Chronicles (2012), The History of King Gogoșar (2015), Residents in the House of Dreams (Bucharest, 2018) , Long Road, Big Heat (2021). He has received numerous awards, including the Debut Award of the Writers' Union of Romania (1993), the "Ion Creangă" Award of the Romanian Academy (2017), the "Augustin Frațilă" Award, respectively the Award for the best novel of the year 2012 at the Romanian Colloquium from Alba Iulia. Among the film scripts, we mention: Terminus Paradis (directed by Lucian Pintilie, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival), adaptation of the novel Amantul Colivăresei, Prophets of Jerusalem (directed by Lucian Pintilie), Heidi (directed by Cătălin Mitulescu).
