"Miracolul din Strada Panterei" by Octavian Soviany is the latest reading performance that will be supported by the actors of the National as part of the "Authors are in the hall" project. The show will take place at the Ia te uita! hall, on Thursday, November 24, from 6 pm. The cast includes: Adrian Andone, Ștefan Cepoi, Anca Dinu, Dragoș Măceșanu, Cosmin Rădescu, Tamara Popescu, Alina Mangra, Gabriel Marciu.

The performance-reading project The authors are in the hall started at TNC on December 12, 2013, at the "Ion D. Sîrbu" hall, with the presentation of the play b>The last dance of the dragonfly, by Cornel Mihai Ungureanu, directed by Mircea Cornișteanu.

Octavian Soviany is one of the most important Romanian writers. Poet, literary critic, translator, playwright, Octavian Soviany was accepted as one of the reference names of the '80 promotion in contemporary Romanian literature.

He was born on April 23, 1954, in Braşov. He studied at "Babeş-Bolyai" University, Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Philology (1975-1979). Doctor of Philology from the University of Bucharest (2008). Debut: Echinox magazine, 1975, simultaneously with poetry and criticism.
Editorial debut: Apprenticeship of the old alchemist (Dacia, 1983).

Volumes of verse, including: Casanova's Tower (Pontica, 1996), Texts from Monsalvat (Axa, 1997), Benedict's Book (Vinea, 2002), Other Old-Fashioned Poems (Pontica, 2004), Letters from Arcadia ( Paralela 45, 2005), Dilecta (Cartea Românească, 2006), Powder, powder and revolution (Max Blecher Publishing House, 2012; Pepel, prah in revolucija, translated into Slovenian by Aleš Mustar (IRIU Institut, Ljubljana, 2013); Magellan's Heel (Romanian Book, 2014).

Novels: The Monte Negro Texts (Pontica, 2003; 2nd ed., under the title Monte Negro Archives, Romanian Book, 2012), The Life of Kostas Venetis (Romanian Book, 2011), Sanson Family History (Hyperliterature, 2019), The House from Sirenelor Street (Hyperliteratura, 2020). The Little Saturnian (Hyperliteratura, 2020).

He has also published volumes of theater and literary criticism (among which, Cinci decenii de experimentalism (CDPL, 2011) and in 2014 his translation of Charles Baudelaire, The Flowers of Evil, as well as Small prose poems appeared at the Max Blecher Publishing House.

He is the holder of several distinctions and literary prizes.
