EXPAND is a project co-funded by the European Union (Creative Europe) empowering emerging performing arts creators and producers through training in XR and AI technologies. Led by Dark Euphoria <\/strong>(FR) with & Espoo Theatre <\/strong>(FI) and Marin Sorescu National Theater <\/strong>(RO), the consortium is pushing performing arts into the next digital era.<\/p>

The project focuses on: discovering and understanding creative opportunities offered by extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, experimenting with a training programme addressing topics of growing importance for today\u2019s artists: immersive dramaturgies, augmented acting, digital stages, sharing sustainable practices and production models to navigate the evolving landscape of digital creation and new technologies.<\/p>

Over 22 months, the project sets up and implements a transnational capacity-building program for duos of emerging performing artists and producers, combining discovery and hands-on practice with XR and AI technologies, peer-to-peer learning, and intensive networking. By bridging the gap between the worlds of performing arts and digital innovation, EXPAND seeks to democratize access to immersive and interactive tools, ensuring that the theatre sector embraces digital transition and sustainable growth.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
