On Monday 27 March 2023, World Theatre Day, the Marin Sorescu National Theatre offers a varied programme: guided tour, performances of \"Gai\u021bele\" by Al.Kiri\u021bescu directed by Alexandru Boureanu and \"Reciting Shakespeare\" by Emil Boroghina, creative workshops for students and photo exhibition in the foyer.<\/p>\n

The public is invited to discover the backstage of the theatre and find out unique details behind the curtain during the guided tour scheduled at 15:00. Participation is free, subject to availability, by registering at the following link\u00a0https:\/\/forms.gle\/ogi5WUN78jwEFajT6<\/a><\/p>\n or at the Theatre Ticket Office.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Every year, World Theatre Day is marked by the reading of the International Message created and transmitted by a personality from the world of theatre or another cultural field, who is invited to express his or her thoughts on this event in a message broadcast worldwide.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In 2023, the International Message is signed by actress Samiha Ayoub (Egypt) and will be read on the stage of the Amza Pellea Hall, at 19:00, before the performance \"Gai\u021bele\", by Alexandru Boureanu, manager of the National Theatre of Craiova. At the same time, the message from UNITER, signed by its president, Drago\u0219 Buhagiar, will be read by Vlad Dr\u0103gulescu, the theatre's artistic director.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The programme dedicated to this day also includes theatre and creative workshops for students from the Oltenia region, held as part of the \"Educate Together\" programme organised by the Marin Sorescu National Theatre in partnership with the Pele\u0219 Sinaia National Museum, the National Museum of Transylvanian History Cluj-Napoca, the Dolj County School Inspectorate and the University of Craiova.
