The premiere of the season finale at the Craiove National<\/strong><\/p>\n

The season finale brings to the stage of the \"Marin Sorescu\" National Theater a new show directed by him Mircea Corni\u0219teanu<\/strong> and the scenography signed by Puiu Antemir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Based on the play written by Dumitru Solomon, THE SNOWS OF ONCE UPON A TIME<\/strong><\/a> brings together an exceptional cast: Cerasela Iosifescu, Adrian Andone, Costinela Ungureanu, C\u0103t\u0103lin Mihai-Miculeasa, Raluca P\u0103un, Nicolae Vicol , Cosmin R\u0103descu.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The show will take place on Saturday, June 24 and Sunday, June 25, from 19:00, at Sala Amza Pellea.<\/p>\n

The show \"Old Snows\" is a guaranteed home success: the experience of the director and the supple, intelligent writing of Dumitru Solomon lead to an infallible recipe.<\/p>\n

He (Adrian Andone), impetuously and romantically advances in the territories of carnal love trying to stun Ea (Cerasela Iosifescu), in a pathetic unleashing of courtly love, with native inflections. He wants the passionate kiss, She anticipates the thrill of the wild heart: \"why does love hurt?\" Too young to need other qualities, He strings together platitudes, truisms, cosmic fantasies (\"I love you endlessly, as much as the Universe, as much as Time\") while She, still wary, just wants to be loved \"terribly much\" . Rica and Zita are not too far away, only in the 19th century...<\/p>\n

Even Dolphis, the statue in the square under which they know each other, is revolted by so much amorous languor and lightness of being - he comes to life to come down from the plinth to make fun of the lovers dizzy with love and grandiloquence; life is not poetry, even if it can be a dream. Throughout a prodigious career, the director Mircea Corni\u0219teanu<\/strong> performed over 160 shows on the stages of more than 25 professional theaters in the country (Nottara, Bulandra, National, Comedie, Ion Creang\u0103 in Bucharest, National Theaters in Craiova, Cluj, T\u00e2rgu Mure\u0219, Ia\u0219i, or the municipal ones in Bra\u0219ov, Galati, Piatra Neam\u021b, Oradea, Ploiesti, etc.) and abroad (Poland, Armenia, Cyprus).<\/p>\n

In 1990 he received ex-aequo the first UNITER Award for the show\u00a0Unchiul Vania<\/strong>, produs la Teatrul Na\u021bional din Craiova, \u00een 2011 spectacolul Where's the revolver?<\/strong>, made at TVR, received the UNITER Award for the best TV theater show and in 2010 it received the UNITER Award for the entire activity. In 2004 he was decorated with the National Order \"Faithful Service\" in the rank of knight and is an honorary member of the \"Marin Sorescu\" National Theater in Craiova, of which he was the general director between 2000 and 2015.<\/p>\n

Creator of the first Integrale Caragiale<\/strong> at the Craiova National Theatre, Mircea Corni\u0219teanu is the first Romanian director to create a show based on the correspondence of I. L. Caragiale - Al matale, Caragiale<\/strong> \u2013 played in several theaters in the country and broadcast on TVR.<\/p>\n

For the shows made throughout his career, he won more than 20 awards for direction or best show at various national and international festivals. Many of the great actors of the Romanian theater shone in his performances, including George Constantin, Radu Beligan, Octavian Cotescu, Mircea Albulescu, Ion Lucian, Ileana Stana-Ionescu, Ilie Gheorghe, Victor Rebengiuc, Dorel Vi\u0219an, Mariana Mihu\u021b, Hora\u021biu M\u0103l\u0103ele, many of you obtaining numerous awards for the roles played in the performances staged by Mircea Corni\u0219teanu.<\/p>\n

Dumitru Solomon<\/strong> was born in Gala\u021bi on December 14, 1932 and died in Bucharest on February 10, 2003. Graduated from the Faculty of Philology in Bucharest (1955).<\/p>\n

He made his debut in the press with articles of literary criticism, and editorially in 1958 with the essay \"The problem of the intellectual in the work of Camil Petrescu\". His essay activity was concretized in the volumes \"Theatre as Metaphor\" (1976) and \"Internal Dialogue\" (1987).<\/p>\n

He was editor of \"Luceaf\u0103rul\" and \"Gazeta Literar\u0103\" magazines, and after 1990 director of \"Teatrul Azi\" and \"Scena\" magazines. His activity was rewarded by the cultural world with numerous awards: the Academy Award, the Writers' Union award three times, the Bucharest Writers' Association award three times, the Romanian Comedians Award twice and the UNITER Award for the play \"Repeatable balcony scene\".<\/p>\n

Several of his plays enjoyed success on the Romanian and European theater stages: \"Morgana Girl\", \"Scenes from the Life of a B\u0103d\u0103ran\", \"Archimede's Secret Weapon\", \"Apa\", \"Superba, nev\u0103zuta camil\u0103\", \" Pinnacle\", \"Orient-Express\", \"The Notion of Happiness\", \"The Snows of Old\", \"Socrates, Plato, Diogenes the Dog\", \"The Repeatable Balcony Scene\", \"The Two Nightingales\".<\/p>\n
