The patriarch of Craiova painters, Viorel Peni\u0219oar\u0103-Stegaru, will be celebrated at the \"Marin Sorescu\" National Theater, on Friday, December 20, from 5:00 PM by collaborators and friends who were close to him during a 55-year career in the Craiova institution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with Emil Boroghin\u0103, TNC directors Alexandru Boureanu and Vlad Dr\u0103gulescu will pay tribute to him at an event to be held at Sala Atelier. Theater critics Ion Parhon and Mariana Ciolan will also participate in the celebration of a professional who entered the Craiova theater in 1960 and who created the set design for over 130 shows.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Viorel Peni\u0219oar\u0103 Stegaru was born in Duda-Epureni, Vaslui County, on July 5, 1934. He studied drawing and graphic arts in Ia\u0219i and Bucharest with Dobrian, Luca and Molnar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He studies easel painting with C\u0103m\u0103ru\u021b, Saru and Catul\u2013Bogdan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He graduated in 1960 from the \"Nicolae Grigorescu\" Academy of Arts in Bucharest, scenography department, class of Toni Gheorghiu, Al. Br\u0103t\u0103\u0219anu, Traian Ni\u021bescu. Travels for studies, documentation and cultural contacts: Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, France, Israel, England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 1960, painter-scenographer of the National Theater in Craiova. From the same year, he exhibited at all official, county and interregional salons, at the official national painting and graphics salons in Bucharest: 1966, 1967, 1971, 1978, 1987. He debuted at the Craiova National Theatre in 1960, alongside director Georgeta Tomescu, with whom he collaborated in many performances: Ecou \u00eenferat\u0103<\/em> by Sava Golovanovski, ...escu<\/em> by Tudor Mu\u0219atescu, Fiicele<\/em> by Sidonia Dr\u0103gu\u0219anu, A<\/em>\u00a0twelfth night<\/em> by W. Shakespeare, Neamurile<\/em> by Teofil Bu\u0219ecan, Mirele furat<\/em> by \u0218tefan Haralamb, Nunta lui Figaro<\/em> by Beaumarchais, Hagi Tudose, by V. Delavrancea, The Trojan Women<\/em> by Euripides, Aesop<\/em> by Guilherme Figueiredo, The Gold of the Beautiful Courtesan<\/em> by M. Drzici. He created the poster for the show Arca Bunei Speran\u021be<\/em>, a show by Aureliu Manea based on the play of the same name by Ion D. S\u00eerbu, in 1989, a premonitory image of the Victory sign made by those who took to the streets during the bloody days of the Romanian revolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He exhibits set, costume, model, and stage design projects at the national scenography salons: 1961, 1967, 1972, 1976, 1979, 1982, 1987.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
