PRODUCERS IN PERFORMING ARTS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a id=\"_msocom_1\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Creative duos (Artist + Producer) | France \u2022 Finland \u2022 Romania | 12-month capacity-building programme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Are you an emerging artistic team in the performing arts?<br>Are you curious to understand\u2014and <em>test<\/em>\u2014the creative potential of <strong>XR (extended reality)<\/strong> and <strong>AI (artificial intelligence)<\/strong> in live performance contexts?<br>Do you want to explore <strong>new approaches to dramaturgy, production, and audience experience<\/strong>\u2014while joining a <strong>European peer network<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u2013 ABOUT EXPAND \u2013<br>EXPAND (Empowering the Performing Arts with XR and AI Technologies)<\/strong> is a European cooperation project supported by the Creative Europe programme, led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dark-euphoria.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>Dark Euphoria<\/strong><\/a><strong> (FR)<\/strong> with <a href=\"https:\/\/espoonteatteri.fi\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>&amp; Espoo Theatre<\/strong><\/a><strong> (FI)<\/strong> and <strong>\u201cMarin Sorescu\u201d National Theatre (RO)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>What we are looking for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will select <strong>6 creative duos<\/strong>, each composed of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>one emerging performing arts artist<\/strong> (director, choreographer, playwright, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>one producer<\/strong> (see definition below)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Selected duos will join a <strong>12-month capacity-building programme<\/strong> combining <strong>hands-on labs<\/strong>, expert-led training, peer learning, and mentoring\u2014focused on how XR and AI tools can reshape <strong>writing, dramaturgy, acting, design, production workflows, and touring models<\/strong> in performing arts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important note:<\/strong> this programme is <strong>not<\/strong> a production grant.<br>The aim is <strong>not<\/strong> to produce a performance, demo, or finished artwork during the programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>What you will experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>3 in-person labs + 1 kick-off event<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kick-off during <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dark-euphoria.com\/project\/svsn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\"><strong>SVSN<\/strong><\/a><strong> event \u201cPerforming Arts, digital stages\u201d \/ Avignon Festival (France &#8211; 8-10 July 2026)<\/strong> \u2013 networking and community building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lab 1: Espoo (Finland &#8211; 7-9 October 2026)<\/strong> \u2013 focus on dramaturgy in the age of new technological possibilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lab 2: Cannes (France &#8211; March 2027)<\/strong> \u2013 focus on immersive &amp; interactive technologies (XR, AI, tools, workflows)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lab 3: Craiova (Romania &#8211; 28-30 June 2027)<\/strong> \u2013 focus on digital presence &amp; augmented acting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each lab combines keynotes, workshops, demos, visits, peer-to-peer <strong>exchanges and networking.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Online components<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>6 inspiration talks<\/strong> (international perspectives &amp; practices)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>4 one-to-one mentoring sessions <\/strong>(tailored guidance for each duo)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>Who can apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both applicants (artist + producer) must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Based in:<\/strong> <strong>France, Finland, or Romania<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nationals\/residents of:<\/strong> one of the <strong>27 EU countries<\/strong>, or a <strong>non-EU country participating in Creative Europe<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/docs\/2021-2027\/crea\/guidance\/list-3rd-country-participation_crea_en.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">list here<\/a>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Proficient in English<\/strong> (spoken and written), as it is the working language of the programme<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>\u201cEmerging artist\u201d criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will consider the artist eligible as \u201cemerging\u201d if they fit <strong>at least two<\/strong> of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have shown\/toured <strong>at least 2 works <\/strong>(performances\/shows)<strong> and no more than 5 <\/strong>in a professional context(as artistic lead)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have been working professionally in the field for <strong>7 years maximum<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have toured in <strong>maximum 3 different countries<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a><\/a>What do we mean by \u201cproducer\u201d?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In EXPAND, \u201cproducer\u201d is understood broadly. You may be, for example:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a producer\/production manager or cultural manager within a company or collective<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an independent producer or digital expert supporting one or several artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a programmer\/producer within an organisation accompanying creation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a creative producer bridging artistic, technical and organisational aspects (ex: creative technologist, developer, technical designer\u2026)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a>In all cases, the producer should be actively involved in the duo\u2019s development strategy (planning, partnerships, budgeting\/funding strategy, touring\/distribution thinking, technical development and feasibility, etc.).<\/a><a href=\"#_msocom_1\">[1]<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What we offer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Travel, accommodation &amp; per diem<\/strong> for the onsite labs and Avignon kick-off are fully covered by the consortium.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access to tools and professional environments<\/strong> during workshops (e.g., AI tools, VR\/XR equipment, motion capture, game engines\u2014depending on each lab\u2019s setup).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A European peer network of artists, producers and creative technologists<\/strong>, plus exposure to partner ecosystems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Fees: This is a capacity-building programme ;
