National Theater \"Marin Sorescu\" Craiova <\/strong> announces the opening of the 2020-2021 season with the premiere of the show <\/strong> \"Heart <\/strong> and other meat dishes <\/strong> \u201d<\/strong> by Dan Coman, directed by Radu Afrim, set design by Irina Moscu. <\/strong><\/p>\n

THE PREMIERE WILL TAKE PLACE THIS WEEKEND - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3, 7:00 PM. The show will be played in the \"Amza Pellea\" Hall, and the audience will be able to sit in the hall according to the new rules imposed by the coronavirus pandemic. In fact, the whole concept of the show started from the unusual situation we all went through, from March until now.<\/p>\n

About love and the colorful dust that comes with it. About the labrador butterfly struggling in vain at the end of reality. About involuntary humor and voluntary loneliness. About truth, tenderness and sex. About children, poetry and coffee. About the body and how it weighs. About the small crises that erupted in the midst of the crisis. About beauty and about the ever drier souls, already strengthened at the edges. About pleasure and illness. About language and how color flows from things. About indoor couples. About life hanging a few inches outside of us. About the heart and other meat dishes <\/em>. Dan Coman<\/p>\n

Radu Afrim <\/strong> performs for the third time at the National Theater \"Marin Sorescu\" Craiova, after \" If we thought aloud <\/strong>\" by Adnan Lugoni\u0107 and \" House with meerkats <\/strong> \u201dby David Dr\u00e1bek. And this time he chose to work with the scenographer Irina Moscu <\/strong>, who, for this edition of the UNITER Gala, was nominated for the Award for the best scenography, for the scenography created for \u201e Casa cu suricate <\/strong> \u201d, a show produced by the National Theater\u201c Marin Sorescu \u201dCraiova in 2019. The sound design is signed by Mihai Dobre <\/strong>, and the stage movement Flavia Giurgiu <\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The cast of the show consists of: Alex Calangiu, \u0218tefan Cepoi, Ramona Dr\u0103gulescu, Flavia Giurgiu, Romani\u021ba Ionescu, Geni Macsim, Ioana Florentina Manciu, C\u0103t\u0103lin Mihai Miculeasa, Claudiu Mihail, Raluca P\u0103un, Vlad Udrescu, Costinela Ungureanu, Petronela Zurba Irina Danciu, Corina Oprea, Mihai Alexandru Purcaru, Minela Popa, Sorin Gruia, Florin Chirea <\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Radu Afrim <\/strong> is one of the most important Romanian directors. He has won three times the UNITER Prize for directing, the Romanian Academy Award (for 2017) and is considered a rebellious and reforming creator, author of a performative approach woven from the atmosphere and characters, improved, as the artist himself says, with a \u201csupplement of reality\". In 2008 he was awarded the Coup de Coeur de la Presse Prize at the Avignon Off Festival for the show \" Mansarde \u00e0 Paris <\/strong> \/ Les d\u00e9tours Cioran <\/strong>\" staged in Luxembourg.<\/p>\n

Irina Moscu <\/strong> is a set designer and architect, creator of sets for shows presented both in the independent area and in the most important theaters in the country. Irina has won numerous awards and nominations, including the Order of Architects Award for Best Scenography in the Bucharest Architecture Annual. He also has two nominations for the UNITER Award for Best Scenography, for both projects working with director Radu Afrim: \" The Retro Bird hits the block and falls on the hot asphalt <\/strong>\" by Radu Afrim and \" House with meerkats <\/strong> \u201dby David Dr\u00e1bek.<\/p>\n

Dan Coman <\/strong>, born in 1975 in Gersa, Bistri\u021ba-N\u0103s\u0103ud, has published four books of poetry and four novels over time, the most recent being \" these things that will not change never <\/strong> \u201d(Polirom, 2019). He received the Romanian Writers' Union Award for his debut (2004), the Radio Romania Cultural Award (2010, 2018), the Cultural Observer Award (2018), the Poetry Book of the Year Award 2017 at the Young Writers Gala (2018). He lives in Bistrita, where he organizes the International Poetry and Music Festival Poetry is in Bistrita <\/em> <\/strong>. His texts are included in anthologies in Romania, Sweden, France, USA, Serbia, Hungary, Slovenia, Canada.<\/p>\n
