The UNITER 2023 Awards Gala returns, after six years, to Timișoara and presents the productions nominated in the best show of 2022. A thought that finally takes shape in the context of Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023.
During the period June 7-10 2023, the public in Timișoara will have the opportunity to watch three of the best rated theater performances of 2022, nominated for the UNITER awards. The performances will be followed by Q&A sessions with the audience.

Ø June 7, 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Hall 2 of the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater Timișoara - Civic Park:
„Oedip Rege” by Sophocles, directed by Declan Donnellan, scenography by Nick Ormerod, produced by the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater Craiova
Ø June 8, 7:00 p.m. & June 9, 4:00 p.m., the National Theater Set Factory, (str. Paul Morand no. 9, in the Freidorf Industrial Park), opened for the first time as a performance space, on this occasion:
Antonin Artaud. The Cenci Family", after Shelley and Stendhal, directed by Silviu Purcărete, scenography by Dragoș Buhagiar, produced by the National Theater "Vasile Alecsandri" Iasi

The UNITER Awards Gala show will take place at the Great Hall of the "Mihai Eminescu" National Theater in Timișoara on Monday, June 12, at 8 p.m. The event will be broadcast live on www.uniter.ro, www.tvr.ro, TVR Cultural and Radio Romania Cultural.
