La Ronde

LA RONDE by Yann Verburgh offers us intertwined stories in which each character experiences an intimate encounter with the next, exploring the diversity of identities and amorous and sexual practices unfolding in our contemporary society.

"La Ronde" is primarily a political and intimate manifesto about sexuality. Yann Verburgh's play is a brave text that speaks unashamedly about the polyvalences of love relationships in our age, on the threshold of a new sexual revolution.

What intrigued me about the dramaturgy was that the love relationship between two or more people cancels the social statuses between the characters, and this allows the stage to portray a universe where diversity and inclusion play a leading role.

In the form of a contemporary cabaret, I set out with this show to sublimate the concerns and aesthetics of the 20s of our century, to be explored theatrically in a subversive key, but with a large dose of sensuality and candor", says the director Eugene Jebeleanu
