Synopsis
What if?
If we weren't alone.
What if boredom gave birth to fantasy worlds?
What if loneliness could be taken off very simply like a dress?
Skirts in Fur, Unwinding explores loneliness and imagination. Inspired by dreamscapes, art and mythology, the piece combines movement with visual imagery. Dancers transform into unusual objects and beings. From an oversized skirt – initially a human sculpture – bones begin to emerge. In the surrealism of dreams, reality and fantasy intertwine, giving rise to a hybrid world. Borders dissolve and imagination takes control.
In a playful way, Skirts in Fur, Unwinding reveals a symbiosis between poetry and surrealism, grace and strangeness.
The show "Skirts in Fur, Unwinding" is presented within the CONNECT Contemporary Dance Festival, 4th edition and organized by the Delazero Association, with the support of the Goethe-Institut Bucharest and the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre Craiova.
