The "Marin Sorescu" National Theater participates this year in the NIGHT OF THE MUSEUMSand presents to the public theexhibition King Carol I. Founder of Modern Romania strong>
The event will take place on Saturday, May 13, starting at 7:00 p.m. Access is free and will be allowed between 19:00 and 02:00.
The public can admire a collection of objects that belonged to King Charles I, such as crockery, coins, medals, small items of furniture or decorations, weapons, books and publications. Made at the end of the 19th century, the objects cast in bronze, silver or made of steel, leather, wood or other materials are made available for the first time in the Oltenia region by the Peleș National Museum in Sinaia. Also, the souvenir shop will be open for those who wish to purchase souvenir items with Queen Maria and King Charles I, theater and history books, as well as items illustrating historical moments and theatrical personalities.
The exhibition can be visited until December 2023, in the foyer of the "Amza Pellea" Hall of the Craiova National and is part of the cultural-educational project EDUCĂM ÎMPREUNĂ strong> launched by the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova in November 2022. Since its debut, the project has attracted audiences of all ages, with exhibitions, performances and drawing, painting and theater workshops dedicated to students from Dolj county and children from social assistance centers.
The project started at the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova with the exhibition Mary of Romania. Queen and artist., exhibition that could be visited between November and April 2023. The collection, made available by Peles Sinaia National Museum it contained Queen Mary's personal items and informative materials on Her Majesty's life and work. HISTORIC Auction House from Bucharest participated in this event with a series of objects that belonged to Queen Maria, such as the baptism certificate, letters, photo albums, postcards.
