Marin Sorescu National Theatre Craiova - exhibition "The DUDUMAN Phenomenon through the cultural world of Oltenia"

Gorj County Council through the Gorj County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture invites you to the opening of the exhibition "The DUDUMAN Phenomenon through the cultural world of Oltenia" which will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 5:00 p.m., in the foyer of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater in Craiova.

    The event is organized in partnership with the Doina Gorjului Professional Artistic Ensemble, the Dolj County Center for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, the Olt County Center for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, the Vâlcea County Center for the Preservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, the Theodor Costescu Drobeta Turnu-Severin Culture Palace , "Fii Gorjului" Cultural League Bucharest, Peștișani Municipality, National Theatre Marin Sorescu” Craiova, a different kind of collaboration between all the cultural centers in Oltenia, being a first in the Romanian cultural landscape.

    In the exhibition moderated by Nicolae Coande, artistic consultant at the National Theater in Craiova, you can see portraits of Olten personalities in the graphic vision of plastic artist Codruț Duduman. Among the personalities targeted by the artist, we note valuable names whose activities are related to the National Craiovean or the cultural life of the city: Tudor Gheorghe, Ilie Gheorghe, Valer Dellakeza, Petre Gheorghiu Dolj, Silviu Purcărete, Emil Boroghină, Alexandru Firescu, Patrel Berceanu , Constantin Barbu.

At this cultural event, the album "The Duduman Phenomenon through the cultural world of Oltenia", author Teodor Dădălău, published by the CJCPCT Gorj publishing house, printed with the support of the Gorj County Council, will be launched. The exhibition is a tribute to personalities from Oltenia and is part of the GORJFEST 2022 event, coordinated by Teodor Dădălău under the auspices of the Gorj County Council and the Gorj County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture.
