"On the completion of 85 years of life and 60 years of serving the stage, Mr. Valeriu Dogaru is one of the flagship actors of an institution that is preparing in 2025 to celebrate 175 years of existence. Therefore, Mr. Dogaru gave his life to this institution, he steadfastly accompanied it, participated in its structuring, in different, contrasting eras, but whose passion for the theater unified them in what we call an actor's life dedicated to the stage . It is difficult to imagine such a journey if you have not been to the theater to see him in roles in shows directed by Silviu Purcărete, Mircea Cornișteanu, Valeriu Moisescu, Vlad Mugur, Gabor Tompa, Cristian Hadji-Culea, Mihai Manolescu, Daniela Peleanu , Nicolae Scarlat, Kincses Elemer, Bocsardi Laszlo, Nicu Nitzai et al.

If you haven't seen him play together with the multitude of actors who made the glory and brought honor to this theater: Vasile Cosma, Ion Pavlescu, Constantin Sassu, Leni Pințea, Iosefina Stoia, Nae Gh. Mazilu, Ilie Gheorghe, Valer Dellakeza, Tudor Gheorghe, Georgeta Luchian, Lucian Albanezu, Emil Boroghină, Remus Mărgineanu, Smaragda Olteanu, Ileana Sandu, Valentin Mihali, Tamara Popescu, Mirela Cioabă and so many others.

His overflowing energy and talent, accompanied by an imposing physique, made Mr. Valeriu Dogaru a champion of the public and an athlete of the theaters that became unfit for the premieres where he was distributed.

Our institution is proud of such figures who became eponymous with value and fame, at a time when theater was only what was seen on stage, far from the media coverage proposed by today's mass media.

We wish Mr. Valeriu Dogaru, upon reaching this beautiful age, to continue to enjoy beautiful seasons - oaks are more beautiful in autumn, when people come to admire them and enjoy their rich crown."

Manager of the "Marin Sorescu" National Theater Craiova
