Synopsis

3D.A.R.E. is a manifesto. A raw emotion. A sensory experience that speaks about limits and their overcoming. About the beauty that is born from vulnerability and a collective effort to give meaning to silence. This performance is not a theater show in the classical sense, it does not have a proper text, a plot to follow or characters in the conventional sense. But it also has a truth and some young people who dance not to impress, but to exist on stage in all their fragility and strength. The protagonists do not follow a score, but a flow of energy that gives silence an expression. The show is a bridge between two worlds that rarely communicate. Ana, one of the members of the group of deaf young people, recites a poem without ever having heard her own voice because the sound does not belong to the one who speaks, but to the one who listens.

3D.A.R.E. is at the same time a collage of contemporary dance, poetry, technology and sign language. It is a parallel in which the rules of communication are rewritten. There is no barrier between stage and audience, between sound and gesture, between actor and spectator. Everything becomes fluid, open, alive. In this world, it doesn't matter what you hear, but how deeply you are willing to listen.

A large part of the soundtrack is made by Valeriu Mihai, and the young people intervene during the show with a moment of unconventional musical improvisation. The show presents a possible world in a current urban context where people live compulsively and convulsively. It is a world of contrasts and discrepancies that exist simultaneously without influencing each other.

The multimedia show recreates an existential theater, a dynamic version that combines contemporary dance, poetry and technology, an instinctive theater that invites a reset of current human nature. Perhaps in each of us there is a form of deafness to what is essential. 3D.A.R.E. does not come to judge us. It just invites us to dance together even in silence.

This project created with the deaf community restores my confidence in our ability to produce miracles. 3D.A.R.E. is not just a national premiere. It is a lesson. About our imaginary limits, about the power of community, about art as a form of rehumanization. It is like a love letter written with people, a show too important not to try. At the same time, I believe that accessibility is not a fad, but a form of cultural justice, that art must be a place of inclusion and big dreams.
