"In my own words, here's how I could sum it all up: Mihai Șora was lived dialogically. From inner dialogue to generalized dialogue, from himself, through those close to him and through the polis, into the universe, this man both serene and turbulent, calm and (occasionally) tonans, at peace with History and engaged in its change (from the writing table and intimate circle in institutions and in the public square), candid and mystagogic, direct/translucent and multiple detached/coded, imagined, constructed and consumed, often without visible traces or lasting, not infrequently with unintended adverse effects, in the tense and foundational space between eu and tu.” -Sorin Antohi, Cultural Observer, March 8, 2023
